Polyethylene Bags
Plastic bags are normally made of polypropylene (PP) fabric, but on some special occasions, it is better to use polyethylene (PE) fabric.
Do not confuse a Polyethylene (Woven) Bag with a Polyethylene (coated) Bag or inner liner.
Polyethylene fabric is somewhat less resistant than polypropylene, but is more stable to ultraviolet rays and has a lower degree of oxidation. These characteristics make Polyethylene Bags especially suitable for use in marine environments, for example, with high exposure to sunlight and water.
Polyethylene (PP) has a lower melting point than Polypropylene (PP), which is why Polyethylene Bags are not suitable for containing particularly hot products, such as asphalt.
